These events are presented in conjunction with Jane Whitten’s exhibition Wreaking Havoc at the Mary E. Black Gallery Mar 23 – May 13, 2018. Award-winning basketmaker and knitter, Jane Whitten returns to Nova Scotia from Australia with a thought-provoking collection of new works using reclaimed and diverted materials to consider the effects of climate change on the marine landscape.

Kristal Ambrose is a QEII Diamond Jubilee Scholar, and is in her final year of the Masters of Marine Management program at Dalhousie University. She is an environmental scientist studying marine debris and plastic pollution, and the founder of the Bahamas Plastic Movement.

Jennifer MacLatchy is an artist and Interdisciplinary PhD student in art and the environment at Dalhousie University.
