Yom HaShoah is Hebrew for Holocaust Remembrance Day, a commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust, and a national Memorial Day in Israel. In recognition of Yom HaShoah, the Museum welcomes Allan Rosenfeld, author of Holocaust Lumber, for a presentation about his experience growing up in a reality shaped by the Holocaust. The program will include a memorial candle-lighting ceremony and presentation by students of the Asper Foundation Human Rights and Holocaust Studies program, with reception to follow.
