Sharon Bala, author of The Boat People and CBC’s Canada Readscontender took inspiration for her debut novel from the Museum’s exhibits. On Wednesday, April 4, Sharon will talk about her experience writing The Boat People and read excerpts. A Q&A and book signing will follow the event.

From 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., participants are invited to tour the exposition Refuge Canada as preparation for Sharon’s talk.
