Inspired by the choreographer’s residency in Ireland, Homeplace was born out of lush Irish landscapes, mythology and the beauty of everyday activities like a cup of tea with friends. The Museum is the perfect venue for this dance, which will draw spectators into its exploration of identity, ancestry, mythology, magic and concepts of home.
Homeplace is presented by Votive Dance, choreographed by Kathleen Doherty and features Nova Scotia based artists Amanda LaRusic, Stephanie Mitro, Liliona Quarmyne and Michele Slattery.
